Assembly Leaders to Attorney General: Investigate John Doe Leak

Schimel’s office says they are looking into it

Three of the most powerful members of the state Assembly are asking Attorney General Brad Schimel to investigate the leaks in the John Doe investigation.

In a letter from state Assembly Speaker Robin Vos (R-Burlington), state Assembly Majority Leader Jim Steineke (R-Kaukauna), and Joint Finance Committee co-chair John Nygren (R-Marinette), the trio wrote the that if state Department of Justice chose not to prosecute the leaker, it risks ‘undermining the integrity of the courts and judicial system.”
