Membership Information

Objective, Purposes and Principles of the Republican Party of Milwaukee County (RPMC)

The purpose is to unify the activities of the Republican Party of Milwaukee County under one central organization and to advance fundamental Republican principles and policies in every honorable way.

Applicant’s occupation or retired

Campaign finance law requires applicant to provide the applicant’s occupation or state that the applicant is retired.

Membership for citizens of Voting Age (age 18)

Open to all citizens of voting age who believe in the objectives, purposes and principles of the Republican Party.

Student Membership

Full time college student: open to full-time college students who believe in the objectives, purposes and principles of the Republican Party.

Non-voting – under age 18 – no dues: non-voting student membership is open to students younger than voting age age 18), residing in Milwaukee County, who believe in the objectives, purposes and principles of the Republican Party.

Republican Party of Milwaukee County (RPMC) – Branch membership

Members of the Republican Party of Milwaukee County are members in the local branch in which member resides unless the member selects another branch. Branches promote candidates in local elections as well as county, state, and national elections.

  • Northshore
  • Southwest Suburban
  • Wauwatosa
  • West Allis/West Milwaukee

Republican Party of Wisconsin (RPW) membership

Members of the Republican Party of Milwaukee County (RPMC) are automatically members of the Republican Party of Wisconsin (RPW)

Annual Membership Year

The annual membership year is for 12 months, starting on July 1 and ending the following June 30.

Membership Dues from New Members

Membership Dues from new members are due and payable with the membership application in cash or personal check. Dues cannot be accepted from a business or corporation.

Annual Membership Dues Payments

Annual membership dues are payable at the start of the membership year on July 1.

The date that dues are received by the Republican Party of Milwaukee County determines:

  1. Membership year paid:
  2. New members: Dues received more than 29 days before the County Caucus apply to the current membership year that started on July 1 and ends on June 30. Dues received less than 30 days before the County Caucus apply to the next 12 month membership year that starts on the following July 1.
  3. Members in good standing in the preceding membership period: Dues received more than 9 days before the County Caucus apply to the current membership year. Dues received less than 10 days before the County Caucus apply to the next membership year that starts the following July 1.
  1. Eligibility to vote at a meeting or Caucus
  2. New members residing in Milwaukee County are eligible to vote at a meeting or caucus if their membership dues have been received more than 29 days before the meeting or caucus.
  3. Members in good standing in preceding membership year are eligible to vote at a meeting or caucus if member’s annual dues have been received more than 9 days before the meeting or caucus.
